Elso Holdings is an environmentally-conscious cleaning product manufacturer in Namibia. The company was founded in 1956 which also makes it one of the oldest manufacturers in the country.
The company was founded on conservation principles with the original owner seeing an opportunity to utilise the fat of the elephants that were culled in the Etosha National Park to produce soap. This culling was necessary due to severe overpopulation, and through this, the famous blue bar of soap with the Elephant logo was born.
Those were humble beginnings and today Elso Holdings manufactures biodegradable, toxic-free cleaning liquids and powders, paper and cleaning equipment suitable for a variety of markets.
It is the strategic objective of the company to be the leading manufacturing company in Namibia as well as the African continent.
